The computer that will be the most powerful in the whole world is being created in China. Scientists are planning to release a powerful device that can perform a quintillion operation in one second.

For China, this is not the first supercomputer. The first such "monster" was created by Chinese technicians and scientists back in 2010. After that, the development of similar computing devices began to be engaged in the European Union, the United States, and Japan.

In total , patents on more than 500 supercomputers are registered in the world.

One of the most powerful representatives of the computer world was introduced by Chinese experts a few months ago. He was named Sunway TaihuLight. His performance reached ninety-three petaflops. As a comparison, it is enough to compare this value with that of the computer, which was considered the most powerful in 2013. This supercomputer was called Titan and its capacity was 17.59 petaflops. Already then, scientists from China declared that Titan is not the limit at all and that the work on creating a super powerful computer continues.

The most powerful computer

The National Defense Committee of China has declared that such super-powered models will play a leading role in the development of most branches of human life and activity. The leadership initially outlined a goal to create a device capable of processing a quintillion of operations per second until 2020. It seems that Chinese scientists have exceeded the plan.

Where super power computers are used

Today, the Tianhe-1 supercomputer, presented at the official thematic conference in 2010 in China, is used in various fields. It is also useful in biopharmaceuticals, the production of high-precision equipment, the exploration of oil deposits and other critical areas.

Every day he performs at least 1,400 complex operations. At the same time, the number of users who simultaneously connected to it does not affect performance in any way. Without fail, it can serve more than 1000 users who enter completely different requests. Until recently, it seemed completely impossible.
