The world-famous company Amazon has received a patent for an invention - a small drone (quadcopter) for use by law enforcement officers and civilians. Information about this is posted on the official website of the US Patent Office.

In the patent itself, the company gave a description of the invention and clarified exactly how these unmanned aerial vehicles can be used. Each such drone will be equipped with an assistant who can set commands using voice. Which teams and what exactly will execute the drone is not specified.

It is also assumed that the patented quadcopters will be supplied to the police. The patented devices will be equipped with on-board surveillance cameras that will help in the prosecution of criminals and patrols. It is noted that these cameras will have a wider viewing angle, which will allow to display a wider picture. The image obtained from fixed cameras cannot boast such a viewing angle.

Also, representatives of the company suggest that the invention will be able to help firefighters in extinguishing fires. With the help of the drone it will be possible to carry out overflights of territories and burning buildings.

Amazon also proposes to use drones and civilians. For example, to understand the situations on the road. Using the device, the driver will be able to see how long the traffic jam is in front of him and, if necessary, change the route.

Unmanned aerial vehicles are getting closer into life, both law enforcement and civilian. Today you can easily buy a drone for shooting video and photos.

All such devices are required to undergo a patenting procedure; this is a great way to protect a product from competitors. Also, the patent allows to officially resell or allow the authorized release of inventions by other companies.
