Olga Sakhno, our Client, a designer and fashion designer who, despite the diagnosis of cerebral palsy and his wheelchair attachment, created several collections, visited several fashion shows outside Ukraine, in particular in France and Italy, where he was awarded diplomas.

A girl was born in the Donetsk region, in Pokrovsk, where she lives now. The diagnosis was documented by Olga in 9 months. The girl was brought up by her grandmother - Claudia Yakovlevna. She grew up her granddaughter and tried to adapt the girl to life as much as possible, drove her to experts almost all of the former USSR. Thanks to the efforts of grandmothers and doctors, the girl began to keep her head, then sit, eat, self-holding a spoon. At six, the girl went and started talking.

Until seven years, I could sit, eat, work with my hands and say something that allowed me to study at the school on a general program. The only feature was that the teachers came to my house.

Designer Olga Sakhno

Olga read a lot, was interested in flowers, she liked to dress well and do hair styles, she dreamed of becoming a hairdresser or conditor. A little later, in the high school the girl thought over the profession of translator. Curious and nachachatnaya child, she differed from her peers only that she could not walk independently. In the nineties, in the family of Oli, difficult times came, my grandmother could no longer engage in treatment, had to forget about the school.

I began to realize that I needed to look for an outlet that could not last forever, otherwise it would be a deaf angle from which I would never get out ...

The solution to the depression suggested by the Bible, the book helped the girl cope with despair.

I adopted the very first basic decision in my life - to ask God to give me a purpose for which I could fight and live.

The goal was unexpected. One day, hiding from a shower in a shed, Olga noticed a suitcase.

As an invisible force pulled me to him. Taking a stick, I pulled the suitcase out of the shelf. As he fell, he unfastened, his old magazine flew out of it and sank to my knees.

In the magazine, Olga saw an article about a person who inspired her for a radical change. This was a fashion designer, Vyacheslav Zaitsev.

Looking at this little photo, I have an absolute conviction that I will see this person, talk to him and also how he will become a designer. So I adopted a second fatal decision in my life.

Taking a fateful decision to become a fashion designer, Olga entered and successfully completed several correspondence courses in cut and sewing, as well as an all-Ukrainian correspondence art school. During all these difficult years of study, the couturier did not cease writing letters to Zaitsev ...

She painted a thumbnail for a sketch, wrote one letter for another ... There were no answers ... But once she was lucky - because of a friend who studied in Moscow, Olga handed a letter to the House of Fashion. This time she was answered and recommended to join the Moscow Specialized Institute of Arts for the disabled.

The training was paid, and nobody helped me with our grandmother, and we could not afford it. In 2003, drawing a whole folder of sketches and taking all the money that was in the house went to my grandmother in Moscow.

In Moscow, Olga wanted to ask Vyacheslav Zaitsev for help, but, alas, he was not in town. A year later, Vyacheslav arrived in Donetsk for the festival, and Olga was already ready for this.

We went to the Textile and Fashion Festival and there I saw it for the first time. Vyacheslav asked to show him sketches

Finally, her many years of efforts have been rewarded. The designer drew attention to the dress "new-look". "The dream of every woman to have such a dress and to be the most beautiful in the world," Zaitsev said, addressing journalists.

During this period the girl has already studied at the Donetsk Institute of Design and Fashion Design. The training was not easy for the girl, in order to get to the classroom it was necessary to overcome 150 kilometers, numerous degrees, the inadequacy of the infrastructure, but nothing could stop her on the way to a dream ...

Four years later, Olga successfully graduated from the institute. This was a tremendous achievement for her. The girl made it that a few years ago it seemed impossible.

I was already able to design, draw, design, make patterns and sew clothes on a qualitatively new level independently. After that, I have confidence in myself and in my power.

Having mastered the profession and studied the French language, Olga decided to open his case. In 2009, she graduated in business, and another year after drawing. Along with the study, Olga Sakhno created her first collection, which she presented in Donetsk in 2011 at the Textile and Fashion festival. Visited the show and Vyacheslav Zaitsev, who highly appreciated her work.

Next, Olga creates a new collection "Refreshed look in the past" and presents it in Voronezh, at the "Provincial style" festival, where the "pret-a-porter" ranked third. About Olga talked, there were first publications in the press. Also, the president of the festival, Nikolai Sapelkin, helped the girl to fulfill her long dream - to visit Pierre Cardin's show.

In 2012, she took part in an international competition held in France - the festivals of young designers "Chance-2012". Olga hoped for a meeting with Pierre Cardin, but unfortunately he was not present at the festival for health reasons.

Although the collection Sakhno was not selected for the gala show, the jury members noted the work of Olga and handed her a diploma of the festival participant.

In 2015, Olga visited another international fashion festival "Fashion Marine Fest", which took place in the Italian city of Grottammare, where the designer received the diploma of the winner in the nomination "Naute couture".

Unfortunately for the last few years the situation has changed ... Grandma Olga died, followed by her mother ... Now a woman lives on disability assistance and a meager pension. Due to the difficult financial situation, it does not create new collections and does not participate in fashion shows. However, the designer continues to draw sketches of clothing.

We simply could not tell you the story of Olga, a woman who, in spite of everything going to her dreams. We believe that in many ways we all need to take an example from such people. Such stories really inspire and add strength and vitality.

Although Olga is now in a difficult time, she does not lose faith in the future, she continues to work on sketches, studying yet another profession that will allow her to earn money to achieve their goal. Recently, a fashion designer has applied for registration of a trademark in our company. She wants to create a fashion house where people with disabilities can study and work.

She has her online store - http://olga-sakhno.com/ , where you can support the world's only fashion designer with cerebral palsy by buying clothes.

The motto of the designer is "Style, not timed" .
