Tell us about yourself: who are you by education, what did you do before creating your own projects?
Hi, my name is Tatiana Belz . Now I live in Kiev, a native of Ivano-Frankivsk, graduated from the Carpathian University, the pedagogical faculty with choreography.
She worked at the school for a year, then went on maternity leave, continued to study at home with the children of my friends - to prepare them for entering the first grade. After the birth of her daughter, she was fascinated by photo art and 10 years with passion was engaged in this business. In parallel with this, I was always interested in other professions: teaching the basics of choreography, pictorial art, design basics, floristry, often had to do or redo makeup and hairstyles for brides. I myself constantly thought up the direction for love story, picked up costumes, paraphernalia and sought out unusual places for filming. I also remember the period when I became interested in the secrets of winemaking and the profession of a sommelier. And I was seized by rare professions for Ukraine, such as: the art of window dressing, making dolls from paper glue and other materials (once, I even planned to decorate the Christmas windows of the Galeries Lafayette in Paris). I still don’t mind to do it, but I would like to start from Kiev, because now we also have a very good TsUM.
After the birth of my second child, son, I began to travel more and more often, Paris became my favorite city and real passion. In parallel with the photo, I started writing scenarios for parties, concerts, cabaret, balls, commercials and even films that had almost no future in a small hometown, but I never stopped and tried. After moving to Kiev, I abruptly stopped photographing and left only the director in my life. She graduated from a course on one of the TV channels and Darya Shapovalova’s own course “10 lessons of the fashion industry”, which gave me many great new acquaintances and directions for development. The birth of 3 children is again a transitional stage and again the development of a new profession - firstly: I invented and became a jewelry designer - a pendant in which there is perfume inside; secondly, she became the founder of the line of her own perfumes. It may seem that I am constantly in some kind of search - Yes, it makes me and the people who are near me happy. And yet, these are all steps to my most cherished Dream ... but more on that later.
Tell us about your idea, about the project. How did he appear that foreshadowed this?
My project arose from my own need, I, like many of you, love to travel, and even more to share my impressions about countries, cities, people, culture, art, national and gastronomic features. I always buy gifts from different countries, but I couldn’t specifically advise foreigners what I could never bring from Ukraine ... I would like something that will most vividly tell about our culture, traditions, tastes, and women and men, as well as children; will be functional, beautiful, and most importantly, Ukrainian! Therefore, this is what I came up with: a beautiful two-story dowry box containing Ukrainian treasures: art, music, poetry, perfumery, and confectionery (chocolate). All this in order to attract all the receptors for the complete reproduction of our land for those who have not seen it or, on the contrary, for those who are passionate about and in love with Ukraine. For the box design, I plan to attract the best, artists, musicians, poets, graphic designers, every time others, to popularize them all over the world. On the first floor there will be handmade chocolates with the tastes of fruits, vegetables, berries and herbs growing on our land. On the second floor of the box there will be flacons with niche perfumery under my brand TBelz , created under the influence of the smells and scents of nature from all over Ukraine; a flash drive with music, songs, as well as a small book with Ukrainian poetry. And all this will be accompanied by a beautiful design aesthetic decoration of her inside and out, people who have an amazing talent! To date, the project has reached the finish line: it is determined what poetry, music will be, who are designers, artists, who will chocolatier, what perfume will be inside, the script for video advertising is ready. It was all ready three months ago, the main reason why the project has not yet been implemented is the box itself. I turned to six well-known manufacturers, but I was either refused or could not cope with the task or the cost was very high.
You have the main brand “TBelz” and all your projects include it in your name, right?
Yes, the TBelz brand appeared when the amulet with a perfume inside - Mola Mola "Passion sous la Coupole" (Passion under the dome) appeared, which gives strength and energy of mutual love to continue the race. I thought of it as an exclusive valuable engagement gift, instead of a wedding ring. There are dozens of symbols in it aimed at protecting family, love, motherhood: this is how well said about this pendant:
"Another moment, and, with bated breath, the happy owner of the pendant will feel it all, trying on the magical aroma coming from under a miniature replica of the dome, which is closely guarded by cheerful chimeras and which, in a mystical way, takes it to spring Paris, where in dense , like kissel, in the air, Chagall's images soar in colorful enamels and innovative techniques of jewelry craftsmanship. Tell us about the name "Kisses from ... by TBelz", why did you choose it?
This name occurred to me at once, because everything that is inside the box is made with great love, by people who are the best, most talented representatives of our country. The first batch of boxes will be called “Kisses from Ukraine ... by TBelz” . Perhaps over time it will be from Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk ... then the cities that I like outside of Ukraine will get: "Bisous de Paris" also sounds great.
How many people worked on this project?
I worked on the design of the box - Tatiana Belz; graphic designer, illustrator - Irina Zelenko; illustrator - Anna Gavrilyuk. Artists Olga Adam, who took part in the creation of the world's first full-length animated feature film “Van Gogh. With love, Vincent. For five years, 120 artists from all over the world, including a group of 13 artists from Ukraine, including Olga, have been involved in working on the film. As well as artist Nadezhda Doycheva - Booth, who became one of the winners of the international illustration contest IJungle Illustration Awards-2017. Music - Eugeniy Khmara - Ukrainian composer, virtuoso pianist, winner of the Hollywood improvisers award, and in 2017 - received the international title Yamaha Artist! Poetry Lesya Mudrak - a writer, philologist, translator, critic, winner of the first prize of the World Poetry Festival "Ditët e Naimit" (2013) for erotic poetry and hundreds more other awards. Serhiy Zhadan - Ukrainian poet, novelist, translator, public figure. The author of the novels "Depeche Mode", "Voroshilovgrad", "Mesopotamia", poetical collections "Tsitatnik", "Ethiopia" and others. These poets should be listened to once, and they remain forever in the heart. Over the spirits of Mola Mola - worked: I, perfumer Bogdan Zubchenko and designer Alexey Obertinsky. And the most delicious part of the box is chocolates from Inessa Binazon's chocolates, they are so delicious that they don’t want to try any other sweets anymore. I was introduced to all these people and my friends Marina Statkevich and Margarita Sichkar are helping me in everything!
Is there a product on the market that is similar to yours or will it be a unique offer?
I haven’t met such a product on the market of Ukraine and other countries, so I hope that it will be a boon for millions and happiness for those to whom these kisses will be presented. My pioneering discoveries and ideas are all based on love.
Why did you decide to register a trademark that influenced such a decision?
After having gone through such a difficult path, so much labor, knowledge and talent was invested, and many people, then I immediately wanted to protect our rights from unfair competitors. I decided to register a trademark , which will be a guarantee of reliability. And in order not to waste time, as I have not so much with three children, I decided to do this without leaving home. I heard from my friends that there is a mobile application that registers and verifies a trademark online. When I started searching, I immediately came across IdeaBox and started registering: the application took no more than 5 minutes, everything is accessible, without lawyers and papers. I got a call and was advised on some minor adjustments to the title. For a week, they sent a document about the absence of the risk of failure, verified by a specialist. Everything is easy and simple, and most importantly very convenient, inexpensive and fast!
